DOMINATE explores and recognises the aesthetic components used in current fashion design that derive from the visual and material aspects of fetish culture. The collection plays with the contrasts between rough and delicate, pairing delicate lace and gauze with rough leather and studs.
The collection is made entirely out of upcycled and recycled materials, being either cutting waste or sourced second hand, excluding the metal details and studs. The visual elements & materials derive from my thesis research.
This collection has first been showcased at the KOE23 fashion show in the spring of 2023, after which it has been featured in multiple publications and most recently at the Amos Rex SS25 show by Minttu Vesala in the spring of 2025.
